Scope of work:

Team leading and overall project management for the multi-stakeholder school construction and capacity building programme for the design and construction of 70 fully-functional and child-centered schools in Assiut and Sohag, Egypt (phase I), as well as for 32 schools in the governorate of Sharkiya (phase II).

Development of the QESP Architectural Guidelines, coordinating all stakeholders (Ministry of Education Cairo, General Authority for Educational Buildings, MoE Governorate Administrations, District Administrations, GAEB branches) during all processes, full financial and administrative management, development of implementation strategies, development and implementation of Income Generating Activities component as milestone for a sustainable self-reliant simple school maintenance system, organising 3 Study Tours to Germany, Austria and Jordan for 20 members of partner organisations (MoE & GAEB), development of PQ and tender documents for Local Design Consultants, Works Contractors, Furniture Suppliers, preparing, organising and conducting tenders, incl technical and financial evaluations, full reporting to the client and KfW, team leading, capacity building, trainings, planning and implementing district and school selection procedures for 70 schools (new and extension of exsiting schools) under phase I (2013-2017) as well as 32 more schools under phase II (2017-2025).
